An aside from the Winemaker
The 2021 vintage? Awesome. After tasting these wines, we realized how caught up in dealing with all the bad news everyone was- We almost forgot how the vintage was turning out to be phenomenal in most of California. The wines are packed full of flavor with great balance and finesse. We are looking forward to drinking these wines over the next few years!

Just as with our Sauvignon Blanc, we had a bit more heat in 2019 which allowed for more ripening. We got a boost of fruitiness, richness and silkiness on the palate. But, due to cooler nights, we still maintained good, balanced acidity .
Production
The wine was aged for 9 months in 100% French oak barrels. Production: 3,092 cases, bottled in September of 2020.

2020 WAS A TERRIFIC VINTAGE... Then, smoke and fire dashed many dreams- welcome to agriculture in California. Fruit unaffected by smoke turned into really great wine! Warm days coaxed out nice fruit concentration while the cooler nights helped maintain the natural acidity required for creating a balanced wine.
Production
The wine was aged for 8.5 months in 30% New Oak. Production: 500 gallons (about 7,488 cans) Canned on June 29th, 2021.
